I started karting in 2006 when I was 11, mainly in Mini Max club meetings at my local circuit of Glan Y Gors in North Wales. My cousins Ryan (in karting) and Richard (in Formula Renault) were doing really well in motorsport and I had followed their progress quite closely, so I thought I would give it a go myself – and when I first got into a kart I just loved it!

That year I concentrated on learning the ropes at local tracks, and then in 2007 I branched out to compete in club meetings at different circuits. In 2008 I graduated to national competition in BRDC Stars of Tomorrow – the same series that Lewis Hamilton first came from – and Super 1.That was a big step-up; the racing is a lot more aggressive, the calibre of drivers is a lot higher than it had been at the local meetings I had raced in up until then and I found out how mentally strong you need to be too.

2009 was a breakthrough year for me, when everything came together and I finished third in both British championships, Super 1 and Formula Kart Stars (what used to be BRDC Stars of Tomorrow). For 2010 I have stepped up to the more powerful Junior Max class, and the goal is to finish inside the top five in Super 1 and top ten in Euro Max, the first time I will have competed properly abroad – I can’t wait for that, I’m so excited! I’ve never been to any of the circuits before, so I’ve got to get used to both the tracks and the different style of racing over there.

2010 was the year i became noticed after finish 7th in euro max (europe championship) and an unlucky 11th in super 1, but even though we had not had a great yaer in the britsh chamionship we had many hilights in wackerdorf, germany when we finished a well desurved 2nd in round 3 of the euro max championship this result was a massive cofidence boost for the following year. we are look forward to the 2011 season as it will be my second year in the junior max category and aim to take the britsh title and compete in the rotax grand finals (world finals)

2011 was a fantastic year for us where we achived the british national ‘0′ plate (british open) victory. We also took 7 wins out of a possible 10 in the formula kart stars championship taking the title by 50 points and not having to do the last 2 round. This gave me the golden ticket to compete in the rotax grand finals where we started 13th for the main final and fought through to take an amazing 3rd place in the world! for the 2012 we will be entering the senior max class and competing in the british and europen championship our aims are to finish top 5 in super 1 and a top 10 for euro max.

Beyond that, my ultimate goal is to get into touring car racing, because they look so much fun to drive. Please feel free to have a look around my website, and keep checking back to catch up on all my latest news and what I’ve been up to!
